  • Once it has been determined that a student in 10th or 11th grade has the required cumulative GPA of 3.75 or higher, an application will be delivered to them during homeroom. This process takes place in the Spring for the induction of new members to occur the following Fall. Once the application is completed by the deadline indicated, it should be submitted to one of the advisors, in person, by the due date. NO LATE APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED. The application includes a detailed description of his/her service activities beginning in 9th grade. Once the application has been reviewed and the service activities verified, the student will be notified of their acceptance or rejection into the Neshaminy High School's Chapter of the National Honor Society.

  • IMPORTANT REMINDERS FOR CURRENT NHS MEMBERS:

IF YOU HAVE NOT BEEN SIGNED UP FOR THE NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY CANVAS COURSE, PLEASE CONTACT MRS. KELLEY at [email protected]

A minimum of 20 service hours are needed every year to continue to be a member. Service hours are due in May 2025. An "assignment" will be placed in Canvas where you will submit your hours.

Current Juniors: If you fall below the minimum cumulative GPA requirement of 3.75 at the end of your junior year and/or you do not submit your 20 hours of community service by the deadline, you will no longer be eligible for membership in the National Honor Society.

Current Seniors: If your volunteer hours are not submitted by the deadline (May 2025), you will not receive a National Honor Society tassel for graduation.

Deadlines and upcoming events are always communicated via CANVAS. Please actively check CANVAS MESSAGES, ANNOUNCEMENTS and your email.

Plagarism is an automatic expulsion from the National Honor Society. This has been discussed at every meeting and also prior to your induction.
