Family & Consumer Science (F.C.S.) curriculum focuses on the interrelationships between personal well-being, family, community, and career. F.C.S. integrates the knowledge and skills taught in other disciplines as it applies to real-life experiences. F.C.S. prepares students to be proactive in managing life’s emerging and challenging issues and equips them for the future: functioning as family members, consumers, citizens, and wage earners. F.C.S. provides opportunities to develop the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and behaviors necessary to be 21st Century thinkers, creators, collaborators, and leaders.
