Technology Education

STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.  It refers to the culminating, inclusive approach to education providing students with practical applications to conceptual material and information.  Students are able to use a conceptual knowledge to develop solutions to real world problems in a practical manner.  Through   hands-on activities students are encouraged to use their knowledge of the natural and man-made world to creatively develop solutions.

STEM education is at the heart of today’s high-tech, high-skill global economy. For America to remain economically competitive, our next generation of leaders -- the students of today -- must develop the critical-reasoning, analytical-abilities and problem-solving skills that will help to make them the most productive in the world.
